The waiter was attentive but not hovering. And I also very much appreciate the ambience; this restaurant is not only calm, but not so noisy that you can't hear the person opposite you. “ I placed an order via Uber Eats. I got calamari, shrimp pad thai, and a Thai iced tea. The calamari was pretty pricey for the small portion that I got. It was also really salty. The pad thai was better in portion size. Flavor was good and very fulfilling. The shrimps were $3 extra but they were huge and they gave a good amount. I noticed the noodles are thinner than usual which I actually really liked! Can't go wrong with the Thai tea either! It was refreshing and creamy. Royal Thai is a decent Thai restaurant and I would definitely order from here again! ”

“ We came to Royal Thai for dinner and it was a nice homey experience. The interior is cozy and decorated with lots of cute little trinkets. It was not busy at all on a Sunday so we were seated right away. We ordered the fresh rolls and the crab rangoons for starters and I ordered the wonton soup for my main. The fresh rolls were indeed fresh, filled with carrots, cucumbers, avocados, and apple. The peanut sauce it came with was warm and savory, it paired well with the rolls. The crab rangoons were good too, smaller than what I was expecting, but it was executed well. The filling of cream cheese and imitation crab was rich and creamy, which went well with the sweet chili sauce it came with. The outer shell was fried and crispy, and the filling was generous for the small outer wrapper. The wonton soup is definitely large enough for a main, it had maybe 8-10 wontons, slices of bbq pork, 2 pieces of whole shrimp, and some type of spinachy vegetable. The broth was light yet flavorful, and I added some chili flake to make it spicy. The wonton wrappers were nice, but I found the filling to be dry and rough. It didn't have any larger pieces of snappy shrimp that I was looking for, it was all minced small with the pork and the filling itself was small compared to the wonton wrapper. Besides that, I liked everything else in the soup, the bbq pork, the whole shrimp, and the veggies were all good quality and cooked well. My bf got the tofu kra-prow krob, and the tofu was fried really well and covered in a nice sweet and spicy sauce. He had this with rice, but his only critique is he wished there were veggies or something else in the dish besides fried tofu and cashews. The other 2 people at our table ordered noodles, and they enjoyed both their pad kee mao and the pad see ew. Service was pretty attentive, our small water glasses were refilled a good amount, and the food was good overall. This is a solid place for yummy Thai food, with ample parking close by and a nice staff. ”

“ I've tried a good share of Thai places in Marin and I have to say this is one of the best ones! It was my first time ordering from here and it's safe to say that I will be coming back again. I ordered through DoorDash so I can't really speak on the service aspect but their food is convincing enough. I ordered the crab Rangoons as my starter and they were so tasty. Next I ordered the Bangkok street noodles which were something new but I can genuinely say that I will order them again. The entree was full of flavor and the chicken and shrimp were yummy. I also really enjoy their strawberry lemonade, it was unlike any I've had before. Excited to dine in next time! ”

“ My friend and I were visiting our homegirl and we decided to eat here because we came from San Jose and didn't know any food places in the area. We were greeted by this really nice server and made us feel at home. The restaurant also had that nostalgic Asian smell when you're visiting your family/friends. I was not craving Thai food, but guess what... it turned out to be one of the best Thai restaurants I've ever had in my life. Here's what we ordered; I mean devoured. Yellow Thai curry and green curry (spicier) with both chicken, papaya salad, green bean spicy beef, steamed rice, Thai tea, and mango sticky rice. EVERYTHING is a 10/10 of what we ordered. It was an excellent atmosphere and our food came out in a timely manner. It's a 70 mile drive back home, but we'll definitely come back when we're back in town! ”
